The “Gold Card,” EB-5 Green Card, and Sustainment Litigation with Carolyn Lee and Ishaan Khanna

by Carolyn Lee
Feb 27, 2025

On February 26, Carolyn Lee and Ishaan Khanna (President of AIIA – American Immigrant Investor Alliance) hosted a thought-provoking discussion on the latest EB-5 hot topics and advocacy priorities as we cruise into year 3 of the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (RIA).

We cover the new “Gold Card” proposal in depth and discuss how the Gold Card might be created, as well as what we know about impact on EB-5 visas, which is a type of conditional U.S. residency. Colloquially, U.S. residency is called having a “green card.

It is important to note that Congress has authorized the EB-5 regional center program until September 2027.

The standalone EB-5 program is a permanent part of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Both require acts of Congress to be amended.

We will continue to monitor immigration developments and discuss this emerging news at today’s Investment Immigration Conversations.

Please see below the recording. For follow-up questions, you are welcome to email us at contact@carolynleepllc.com.
